Tasty Treats: Lindt Lindor Pick ‘n Mix

When I first heard that Lindt was adding more flavours to their already infamous range of Lindor Balls at an event earlier this year I could hardly contain my excitement.

So when I discovered them at the Pick ‘n Mix at Sea Point Spar I had to have as many as possible. I reviewed the first lot I got my hands on and the result was a mixed bunch. Lots oohs and a few aahs!

Almond: To be honest the almond Lindor Ball was the one I was most looking forward to trying and it was the most disappointing. It was most like my favourite, milk Lindor Ball with the same soft and creamy centre but the overwhelming taste of almond essence was a complete turn off.

2/5 in terms of flavour, texture and overall goodness.

Cappuccino: I love absolutely everything cappuccino related, from sweets, chocolate and well, cappuccinos there can be no wrong. The same can be said, the Lindor ball had a white chocolate and coffee speckled outside shell which was divine but the soft and coffee flavoured center was a what gave it the extra edge. If you are in any way a coffee fan, this one is for you!

4/5 in terms of flavour, texture and overall goodness.

Coconut: The coconut was the surprise in the mix, I wasn’t quite sure what I was expecting but it blew me away. The flavour was creamy, rich and had a strong flavour  with lightly textured  coconut. It wasn’t over powering, just delicate and delicious.

It came out tops in my book!

4/5 in terms of flavour, texture and overall goodness.

Disclaimer: These were all (bought and) reviewed by Gabi Goldberg’s tastebuds. Apparently there is also an Irish Cream flavour which we missed. They’re all available to Pick ‘n Mix at the Lindt Studio in the Cape Quarter.
